I wanted to share that I have officially joined Grim & Mild as a full-time writer! I’ve been writing Cabinet of Curiosities for four years, but now I’ll also be working on LORE, as well as some other upcoming shows.

I am ecstatic that I am lucky enough to make this career change and become a full-time writer for a living. My old job restructured and let me go, folding my position into a new department where they already had someone in that role, but as upset as I was at the time, I realize now that it was the best thing that could have ever happened.

For the first time in over a decade, I don’t hate my job. I wake up happy, excited to start the day. I no longer feel a lump in my chest every Sunday at 3pm as I think about what awaits me for the week. I don’t fear the “doodle-doo” chime of Outlook on my phone as I wonder “What now?”

I am finally proud of what I do for a living. It’s not a side hustle anymore. It’s not something I have to hide from my full-time employer for fear of them finding all the other pies I have my fingers in (podcasts, books, etc). I can finally be my whole self both at work and online and I am so grateful for that.

So here’s to a brand new chapter, one that I am excited to write with an incredible team of coworkers and a boss who has given me the greatest gift I could ever ask for.
